Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in the Volunteer Program of the Fresno Rescue Mission. Each year thousands of people offer their time, talents and goodness of heart to Mission projects, making a difference in the lives of the least, the last and the lost. Through their giving efforts, volunteers discover an appreciation for those less fortunate, receive unexpected blessings through their ministry, and witness the awesome power of the Holy Spirit in their midst as they give back to the community what God has so freely given them.
We want to welcome you and make this an opportunity for spiritual growth and learning for all.
Please take time to prayerfully consider how your spiritual gifts might best be used in service of the Lord within our ministries. We want this to be a time of great joy for you and for those you serve in His name.
Blessings,
Tina Searcy

"For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served, but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many." Matthew 20:28
March 2012 - We are in GREAT NEED of volunteer TUTORS and MENOTRS:
Commitment: 1.0 hour per week
Training provided through the Fresno Rescue Mission
Tutors -
Well over 60% of the men and women who come into our recovery programs are lacking in GED/literacy. This one factor alone puts them at a higher risk of failure. Why? Education teaches reasoning skills. Without the ability to reason well, most will sabotage their programs by making poor choices. You can help us save lives! Become a tutor today!
Mentors
Commitment: 1.0 hour per week
1 meeting per quarter (1.0 hour)
Training provided through the Fresno Rescue Mission – A letter from your church pastor is required.
We need Christ-centered men and women to come alongside our program participants and help them navigate their steps. A Mentor is a “brain to pick, an ear to listen and a push in the right direction”. How important is mentoring? It is the third most powerful relationship for influencing human behavior -topped only by marriage and extended family. Be a part of a rewarding and growth filled opportunity.
With over 100 men enrolled in our Academy's residential portion of the 18-month program, the need for both MENOTRS and TUTORS NEVER ENDS.
