Where Your Donations Go

The Fresno Rescue Mission is a 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation. As such, all gifts are tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt letter for each donation made. Year-end records of financial donations are available for tax purposes.

Note: The Fresno Rescue Mission considers your personal information a sacred trust and does not sell or share names or addresses of donors.

Your financial donations go to support the ministries of the Fresno Rescue Mission. This includes the ministries of Community Care (Emergency Overnight Shelter for Men and subsequent "Steps" and "Next Steps" programs, The Safe Area, Fresno Medical Respite Center, and more), The Academy and our Rescue the Children community and programs. We receive no government funding for these ministries.

Your donations of in-kind goods go to assist our guests with their needs. The excess items received may be sold in our Fresno Rescue Mission Thrift Store and Cars, the proceeds of which go back to support the ministries. Either way, you directly support those who need it the most.

Food donations are used to feed the guests in our ministries. When we experience an excess, we also share with other non-profit organizations in the community. They, in turn, share with us. This community teamwork allows us to serve more people.

Every day a stream of hungry men, women and children come through our doors looking for a warm and safe place to stay. At the Fresno Rescue Mission, we're grateful for the generosity of the community that allows us to provide a haven for the homeless, the neglected and the abused. It is through the voluntary support of concerned individuals, businesses, churches, foundations and service organizations that our Christian-based ministry can provide 24 hour, 365 day-a-year services to a segment of the population much in need of the protection, love and shelter we offer.
